About The Bands:
Delta Nove (delta novay): A Long Beach band born from a blend of Funk, Brazilian Samba, Jazz, Afro-Beat, Blues and Rock. Members of Delta Nove have performed with (top, famous, well known?) artists such as Carlos Santana, Bruce Hornsby, Bobby Caldwell and Los Lobos. www.dnove.com
Beru’s Ash: A Jam-based blues / rock and roll band writing original music and playing the local circuits for almost a decade. Beru’s Ash’s genre is “rock n' roll idealism gone any which way!�
Who’s Harriet? A 4-Piece acoustic / electric act which delivers an eclectic mix of your favorite old and new rock and pop cover songs as well as a few select original tunes.

- Northamton, Massachusetts A Valley Benefit for Gulf Musicians concert on Friday, September 30, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at John M. Greene Hall at Smith College in Northampton, MA. Admission is free but donations are requested. 100% of proceeds will go to the Gulf Coast Orchestra Relief Fund of the American Symphony Orchestra League. Hosted by John Montanari of WFCR and featuring several groups from Smith College and the surroundng area.
- Birmingham, Alabama Cause for Lost Paws Event (http://www.lostpawskatrina.com/) - Fund-raiser for the animal victims of Hurricane Katrina Date: Thursday, September 29 Place: B & A Warehouse Time: 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mission: To assist charities now working to search and find lost animals and pets, provide them food, care, and shelter, and to repatriate them with their owners. Several New Orleans musicians will donate their services, and other local bands will be invited as well. As site, drinks, food, and entertaiment will all be donated, 100% of everything that will be raised on this evening will go to charities benefitting the animal victims of Katrina. - North Carolina Operation Santa Claus (http://ponc.homestead.com/OperationSantaClaus.html) - Toy drive for Christmas running now thru the end of November - The Princess of North Carolina State Scholarship Pageant, our State Queens, and preliminaries are holding toy drives across the state of North Carolina collecting new unwrapped toys for the survivors of hurricane Katrina until the end of November! Please join in our efforts! You can drop off any new unwrapped toy at any of our preliminary pageants or give them to any of our State queens, preliminary queens or directors! - Wisconsin Fox Valley Comfort for Kids (http://www.thecommunitypage.com/katrina/index.htm) - Schools, teachers and children can get involved in the relief effort by helping to make and distribute blankets for victims of the hurricane. Businesses can donate fleece, volunteers can donate time. A great way to be involved in a hands on way.
- Bellevue-Dayton, Ohio firefighters are collecting bottled water, personal hygiene products and non-perishable food. Cash and checks are also welcome. Checks should be made payable to Local 3751 and noted "Hurricane Katrina."
- Lyric Opera of Chicago To aid the hurricane relief effort, Lyric Opera of Chicago will donate all proceeds from ticket sales to the "Carmen" dress rehearsal on Wednesday, September 21 at 2:00 pm Call 312-332-2244, ext. 5600, 10 am to 5 pm, Monday - Saturday. - American Airlines is offering its AAdvantage members a one-time reward of 500 AAdvantage bonus miles for donations of $50 or more to the American Red Cross between August 31 and September 30, 2005. Members will need to fax or mail their donation receipt to the AAdvantage Customer Service office. The AAdvantage account number of the member must be written on the receipt. - Century Bike Ride, Maysville, KY Principal of Mason County Area Technical Center, Juston Pate and his students are collecting per mile pledges as well as donations for his planned 100 mile bike ride on September 24th with the proceeds going to victims of Hurricane Katrina. - Cycling community auctions for Katrina victims (http://katrinahelp.blogspot.com/2005/09/cycling-community-unites-to-help-in.html#112678067446139008) In auctions running through September 16th team jerseys signed by cycling luminaries such as Ivan Basso, Tim Johnson, Davis Phinney, George Hincapie, Freddie Rodriguez, Colby Pearce, Ian MacGregor and many others are being sold with along with other cycling items with the proceeds benefiting the Katrina relief efforts.
- 24 Hour Blanket Making Marathon (http://www.geocities.com/blanket_marathon) to support Hurricane Katrina Survivors. Qwest Event Center in downtown Seattle, WA will be hosting a 24-hour blanket making marathon from 10:00AM Saturday, October 1st through 10:00AM Sunday, October 2nd. All blankets made and donated during the event will be delivered to Hurricane Katrina Survivors. We need supplies (i.e. batting, fabric, yarn, food/beverages for the event, etc). and we need blanket makers !! No experience necessary. - In Nashville, Tennessee a shoe drive is being mounted for the evacuees. Both new and slightly worn shoes are needed. The shoe drive is scheduled for September 12th through the 30th. - As part of an effort of artists across the web, a new piece of art, "Gifts from the Earth" by artist Susan McMackin Reynolds was released on September 1, 2005 to help aid victims of hurricane Katrina. One hundred percent of all profits from the sale of these pieces will be donated to efforts to assisted those affected along the Gulf Coast. - Bob & Sheri, a nationally syndicated morning radio show, have organized "Beads for the Bayou", a fundraiser where those making a $10 donation at their website (http://www.bobandsheri.com) will receive Mardi Gras beads to wear in support of New Orleans and other areas of the Gulf hit by Katrina.
- FreeCycle Relief Fund Friends of Knox County and Beyond is holding a bake sale/rummage sale/craft sale the weekend of October 14-16. Proceeds will go to the Salvation Army.
